I’m Ashley Haigh, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. Taking the first step toward prioritizing your mental health is an act of courage, and I want to honor you for showing up for yourself.
Before we dive into what Bloom and Balance Therapy is all about, I’d like to share a bit about myself and why I started this practice. My journey into becoming a therapist was deeply personal, shaped by my own experiences with mental health struggles and addiction. There was a time when I felt lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. But through therapy and self-discovery, I found the tools to heal and grow, and I knew I wanted to help others do the same.
Those experiences taught me the transformative power of having someone truly listen and hold space for your pain. They also inspired me to help others navigate their own challenges, whether it’s anxiety, relationship struggles, identity questions, or anything else that makes life feel overwhelming.
My formal education, training, and experiences have also played a significant role in shaping my approach to therapy. Before starting my private practice, I worked predominantly in clinical settings, supporting individuals with mental health, addiction, and gender-based needs. I hold a Social Service Work Diploma, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work degree. In addition, I have pursued training and teachings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy. These qualifications, combined with my personal journey, allow me to provide well-rounded, compassionate care.
At Bloom and Balance Therapy, my mission is to provide a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Here, there is no judgment, there is understanding and compassion. I want you to know that your feelings are valid, your experiences matter, and you don’t have to face them alone.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you because you are not broken. It’s about exploring your story, uncovering your strengths, and creating the life you want for yourself. My approach is empathetic and collaborative, blending evidence-based practices with a genuine belief in the resilience of the human spirit.
If you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a space to breathe, I invite you to reach out and explore whether Bloom and Balance Therapy might be the right fit for you. Together, we can plant seeds of growth and nurture them into a fulfilling and balanced life.
Thank you for considering sharing your story with me. I hope to have the opportunity to support you on your path to growth and healing.
